July 20 - Portland, Oregon

We drove from Harris Beach to Portland where we had booked a hotel room. Portland was different from the other cities we had visited and I liked it. There didn't seem to be one large touristy area that we could get lost in. It seemed to me that there would be a few stores and restaurants on one block, then the next block would occupy empty store fronts and creepy people sitting on the sidewalk, while the following block would once again have a few restaurants. We didn't get a chance to explore the whole city, but I really liked what I found. They also have a free rail system which is great.

Getting some dinner at this cool little bar that only had about 2 tables inside and 5 outside. Little parts of the bar were hand painted and added some funky design to the small establishment. Also had a large cellar bar that looked pretty cool.

Children's Bike Statue?

View from our hotel.
