We went from staying with Jason's friend in Moscow to staying with my friend in Great Falls, Montana. We were fortunate enough to reach Montana on a weekend so my dear friend Ben had plenty of time to hang out and show us around. Ben is part of the AmeriCorp program out there and I'm really proud of him. The work he does is impacting and it seems everyone in the program is amazing! We rolled into town in the afternoon just in time for Ben to take us to Alive At 5, a weekly outdoor festival with music and food (one particular delicious looking item called a "Porkie on a Stick"). Afterwards we went to a nearby bar and hung out with a lot of his fellow volunteers. They were all so nice and funny. I guess you gotta be pretty special to hand over a year of your life to better other people's lives.
We had to do 3 takes to make sure we got at least one right.
It was just swell.
