The morning after our night on the strip we headed to Fremont Street, the old strip. I wish we could have seen it at night with the awning lit up and electric, but it was not in our cards. As soon as we walked beneath the canopy I felt a yearning for some gambling! We browsed through a few different casinos but they all seem to reek of a porta potty scent. Probably due to the large population of seniors wearing diapers. We finally settled on a casino that still used nickels for the slot machines instead of tickets.
Although the nickels gave the slot games an air of authenticity, my hands did not appreciate the dirty germy coins. Lots of liquid hand sanitizer was needed.
Afterwards we headed to San Diego to stay with my friend Nick.
A giant Daffy Duck statue riding in the bed of a truck. This is the best picture I got. I kind of enjoy the silhouetted duckbill. Hah

Floyd - My heart's reptilian desire. I've become obsessed with getting a chameleon since my run in with Floyd. He belonged to one of Nick's housemates, but he now belongs to my heart.
I had way too good a time in San Diego to remember to take photos so I snapped this pic of Nick's house as we were leaving.
