Haven't Done One Of These In A While

Outfit post!!! I have been getting dressed for the past few months, but have lacked in photographing.
This was a few weeks ago at happy hour in Ballston. Am App skirt, Target leggings, Minnetoka mocs, a thrifted shirt from Montana, and lots of BLING. I've recently acknowledged my undying love for bling. Its always been there, but for some reason I never really noticed how much I deck myself in glittery objects. No outfit is complete without a little shine.

Vero's Bday in Clarendon. I actually made this skirt out of a dress I never really wore. I just cut off the bottom, leaving the top for a top, and added a sequined elastic waste band. Sewing the elastic was really difficult because I did it all by hand and I haven't really dealt with elastic much before. I love the alternating bands of sequins and I think they go really great with the paisley pattern of the fabric.

Is Your Daddy Dealing Cuz You're Doubt To Me

Having no real plans for today other than recovering from a long yet awesome weekend, I decided to journey to the library.
I'm traveling cross country with my older brother in about 2 weeks and neither of us has done a lick of planning. I figured checking out some road tripping books might be a good idea.
Being a sucker for biographies, I quickly got sidetracked and found two good looking reads. IN My Blood by John Sedgwick (Edie Sedgwick's brother). Looks like its basically about the generations of crazy in his family. I was looking for a bio on Edie, so I figured this was close enough. Second, Wonderful Tonight by Pattie Boyd. She was the musical muse for George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Not bad eh?
I can't stop wearing these shoes! The great part is the more I wear them the less they seem to hurt my feet and the better I get at walking in them (minus falling in the parking lot in Woodbridge).
I got this grey tee from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago and I love it. Its simple, versatile, and with a huge folding neckline there seem to be endless possibilities how to wear it. For example:

Please excuse my unwashed hair and the caked on eye liner from the night before. I seem to constantly walk around living the "morning after" look. I'm just too lazy to shower everyday? Gross?

Corn Tortilla

Spent Friday night in Woodbridge with Beats, Bry, Faye, and Zizu. Beats and Bry always over indulge us when we're there. This time it was handmade pizza, potato skins, chicken fingers, SoCo shots, and grilled cheese. That like four dinners! I loved every minute of it. :)
When did Red Bull become so fancy?

Self Portrait

White tank, H&M printed skirt, my Mom's large pearl necklace, thick gold belt, and my new We Who See wedges.

Self Portrait. I went a little wild with the liquid eyeliner.

Faye finally bonded with a furry creature and I think she liked it. ZiZu Bond is impossible to deny. Even when he is attacking you while attempting sleep.
Gotta jump in the shower for the No Doubt concert tonight. Yay! I love Gwen Stefani so freaking much. This is the most important night of my life.

You Make Me Want To Be A Better Person

Ultimate guilty pleasure: We Who See canvas wedge heel.
They were on back order until July, but appeared on my doorstep 2 days ago. I squealed like a little school girl. Its as if I've been reunited with a long lost family member. I've never felt more complete or more ridiculous for feeling so strongly about an overpriced pair of shoes. BTDubs, this is what I wore to Petsmart because I HAD to try out the new duds. SWOON

Rapies

FYI: The Hangover = Massive Hilarity
Saturday's yard sale was a huge success (moneys!!), spent Saturday night in Woodbridge, woke up on Sunday still in Woodbridge with my own hangover, and spent the next few hours with Beats, Bry, a movie theatre, and enough candy to give myself a stomach ache (I swear to God, I'm like 6 years old).
I've decided to make an active attempt at replacing my eyes with camera lenses with the purpose of capturing every moment. My adventure in Woodbrideg was my first try but after reviewing the pics, I realize most the them are of Beats, Joyful, and their budding friendship via karaoke. I need to spread out more.

Assorted thrifted chain necklaces, oversized white tee, Target black corset belt, AmApp leggings, Target black glads. I can't decide if I like my legs being Easter egg green or not.

This is my first Monday after quitting my job. Its oddly liberating even though I haven't done anything yet. Yesterday, after manging on candy and saying farewell to Zizu Bond, I managed to somehow fit watching half the 4th season of Weeds into my day. Busy busy girl.
I'm also newly obsessed with The Flaming Lip's "She Don't Use Jelly" and Rusted Roots' "Send Me On My Way"
I forgot how good these songs are!
